How To Cut Down Aweber’s Monthly Fee By 36%!

by Kris Mainieri on December 1, 2009

I didn’t start with a credit card or much money (too young) so this gave me a rare opportunity and forced me to find the ‘free’ ways to everything I did.

*I did manage to beg enough to use my moms CC for a hosting acct (I gave her cash she gave me plastic!)

I found a pretty sneaky thing Aweber was charging it’s users for and wanted to share it with you today.

Check it out, and let me know what your think!

Great tip! I just did it, and thought it might be helpful to tell you all what I learned. You can do it yourself by going to subscribers – search. Then on the view segment box, select unsubscribers from the drop down menu. It will bring up a list of your unsubscribes down below. On the right side of the list, check the “erase” box to select all and erase them. voila!

Kris,

Great little tip there man! This can literally save people hundreds of dollars a month.

I am quite lazy when it comes to tidying up my Aweber account but I am gonna get on it now! :)

Hope you are enjoying Easy Video Player :)

I had an account with them with more than 10,000 subscribers, but I was very tired of paying Aweber more and more, so I moved to another autoresponder script installed on my server and now I pay nothing for email marketing.

Tim December 13, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Kris, your always delivering value, and that’s why your business grows. Makes me wonder how one can think of more ways to do that everyday because it really is key.

Also, if anyone is still looking for a business that is up to more than making money, maybe this will speak to you like it did me.

Kris,

I had no idea aweber charged for unsubscribes the way you explained it.

Thank you so much for sharing this “tip” with us. Keep those great ideas coming!

Thank you Kris. You come up with really good tips that no-one else tells us and you know what you are doing !
Didn’t realize they charge you over and above the monthly fee for the amount of subs you have. I thought it was just a flat fee.

Thanks

Kris,

Thanks!

I don’t use Aweber.
(Doesn’t surprise me they are doing that.)

Does anyone know if Getresponse charges for this as well?

wayne.

Daves Online Marketing Tips Blog December 23, 2009 at 8:31 am

Kris that’s a great tip…

I’ve done this before but have forgotten about it, I just checked and have over 18000 unsubscribed in my account!

The unsubscribes can build up quick, especially if you use automation rules for list segmenting like I do.

Will be getting Aweber to remove them today… Guess they are going to be v.busy lol!

Best,

Dave
